Three countries will participate over three nights in the autumn – Saturday 16 September, Saturday 30 September and Friday 20 October.
The stunning displays, which are set to music, will take place over the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower. All of them are free to access.
Over the years, the firework events have become one of the resort’s biggest draws. In 2022, each of the events attracted more than 50,000 spectators to the Tower Festival Headland.
Details of this year’s competing countries will be announced over the coming months.
Cllr Lynn Williams, Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “World Fireworks Blackpool is one of the most popular events in our autumn calendar.
“These are free family events and prove enormously popular with residents and visitors alike. We can’t wait to bring this magnificent spectacle back to the seafront later this year.”
The three displays form an integral part of Blackpool’s major events programme which this year will see the return of the two-day Air Show on August 12 and 13, Ride The Lights on August 29, the Illuminations Switch-On celebration on September 1, and Lightpool Festival from October 20-28.
The World Fireworks Championships will return to Blackpool’s seafront once again in 2023. The phenomenally-popular trio of events will take place Saturday, September 16, Saturday, September 30 and Friday, October 20.
For three nights in autumn, the resort’s skies will glow in technicolour as the stunning displays, which are choreographed to music. The displays will take place on the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower and are free to attend.
